Need help choosing fishing tackle.
l recently got back into fishing after moving up North.Well fishing in
South Dakota l have learned that trolling and Cast n Reel are the way to
go.On vacation l had no luck with the Cast n Reel and the shad raps were
the money makers. What is the better of the cheaper brand of
lures?(l lost 2 rapala shad raps at like $6.25 a pop) What do
you use for quick lure switch out so you do not have to tie every lure.Is
that what Barrel Swivel with Fast-Lock Snap Are used for? Also, in this fishing trip, a guy was catching his fish by what looked to be a spinner type device at the top of a leader or within the leader and a hooked at the bottom. So any other suggestions you have as far as gear would be helpful.l wanna stay away from just trolling stuff since l do not own my own boat.The type of fish I’m trying to catch doesn’t matter because l just catch and release.l like the fight of the catch, Bass and the Walleye gave some fight. Live bait seems to outdo it all - jig with a live minnow is even better
fishing off the bottom & bouncing it. I like the smaller ones myself - if you need more weight adding a sliding sinker up ur line works. For Bass - Hoola Hoppers? Is that how ya spell it? The lures that float & look like frogs? My boy had two bass hit is bobber - :-) two days ago. I am thinking of adding one onto his line for his bobber!
